Alice Cooper Hair Metal Band

Alice Cooper was a band that started back in the late 1960's.  It was the 1971 song "I'm Eighteen" that finally pushed Alice Cooper into the spotlight, followed by the even more popular "School's Out" in 1972.

You may not know that the guy we affectionately know as Alice Cooper, is actually a guy from Detroit name Vincent Damon Furnier, who decided to make the band name his own after starting a solo career.  Once Vincent became Alice, the stage show starting getting more and more macabre, including things like huge snakes, guillotines, electric chairs, and lots of fake blood.

In the early 80's, Cooper's sound turn a bit new wave, and older fans starting slipping away.  In 1985, Alice collaborated with Twisted Sister on the music video for the song "Be Chrool To Your Scuel," and soon after he began cranking out hair metal with the albums Constrictor (1986) and Raise Your Fist and Yell (1987).  An interesting fact about these two albums is that Kip Winger played the bass, and we all know that Kip formed his own band in 1989.  Alice Cooper's most popular hair metal song is probably the song "Poison," which was released in 1989 on the Trash album.

At the time of this writing, the Alice Cooper discography was as follows:
