Junkyard Hair Metal Band

Junkyard was a sleaze metal band that formed in Los Angeles in 1987.  The band landed a record deal with Geffen Records in 1988 and released their self-titled debut in 1989.  Some of you may remember the songs “Simple Man” from this album, which was their biggest hit.  Other songs from this album that were relatively popular were the songs “Hollywood” and “Hands Off”.  Their follow-up release, Sixes, Sevens & Nines (1991), was not as popular, and Geffen dropped their contract.  This album did feature the song “All the Time in the World”, which charted at 24 on the US Main Rock chart.

Before Junkyard had lost their contract, they had been recording for a third album.  The recordings were eventually released in 2008 as the two albums XXX and Joker.  The band has remained active over the years, both on tour and releasing new material (new singles were released in 2015).  Junkyard was still touring well into the 2010’s.  The Junkyard Discography is as follows:
