Samson Hair Metal Band

Samson was a British metal band that was formed in 1977 by guitarist Paul Samson.  The band is best known for their early releases, which featured Bruce Dickinson on vocals (Iron Maiden) and a drummer called Thunderstick that played the drums in a cage while wearing a leather mask.  Their first album, Survivors, was released in 1979.  By 1983, Samson had landed three songs on the charts:  "Riding with the Angels" (1981, no. 54), "Losing My Grip" (1982, no. 63), and "Red Skies" (1983, no. 65).

After Bruce Dickinson left the band, they recruited Nicky Moore on vocals and released a few more albums before breaking up.  Paul Samson went onto to do some solo work, which was letter released under the Samson banner.  Samson did reunite years later, but after Samson died of cancer in 2002, they officially called it quits.  The Samson Discography is as follows:
