GREATEST HITS
Reflections: Carly Simon's Greatest Hits   The Best of Carly Simon   The Very Best of Carly Simon - Nobody Does It Better

Carly Simon was born in NYC and raised in The Bronx.  She was the daughter of Richard Simon (Simon & Schuster).  Simon is probably best known for her 70's hits, although she left her mark on the 80's as well.  Her music career started in the 1960's when she joined a group with her sister called The Simon Sisters.  They actually had a minor hit as The Simon Sisters in 1964 called "Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod".  Carly Simon began her solo musical career in 1971 with the released of her self-titled release.  This album featured the top ten hit "That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be".

As the 1970's rolled on, Carly Simon had many hits:  "Anticipation", "Your So Vain", "Right Thing to Do", "Mockingbird", "Haven't Got Time for the Pain", "Attitude Dancing", "Nobody Does It Better (from James Bond)", "You Belong to Me", and "Vengeance".  Although by the time the 1980's rolled around Simon had slowed done considerably, she did continued having hits.  In 1980, she released Come Upstairs, which featured the hit song "Jesse".  Torch, released in 1981, did not do as well in the USA, but featured two international hits:  "Why" and "Kissing With Confidence".  The rest of the 80's brought us Hello Big Man (1983), Spoiled Girl (1985), and Coming Around Again (1987).  The title track from her 1987 release was an international hit, as was the songs "Give Me All Night", "The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of", "All I Want Is You", and "As Time Goes By".

Not only did Simon produce her own hits, but she both contributed to other's hit albums and television/movie soundtracks, a trend she continued well past the 1980's and into the present day.  She has continued producing, although the success of the 1970's and 80's continues to remain elusive.  At the time of this writing, the Carly Simon Discography was as follows:
