The Fine Young Cannibals was a British band that formed back in 1984 by bass player David Steele and guitarist Andy Cox of the band The Beat.  After settling on vocalist Roland Gift, the band went to work.  Initially, they had trouble landing a record deal, but after a break on the British TV show, The Tube, the soon received a record deal and subsequently released their first album in 1985.

The Fine Young Cannibal's first self-titled debut featured two hit songs:  "Johnny Come Home" and the Elvis Presley cover "Suspicious Minds".  It was the band's 1989 release,  The Raw & the Cooked, that was their greatest success to date, featuring the hits songs "She Drives Me Crazy" and "Good Thing", which both made it to no. 1 in the US.  Although these were the only official albums the band released in the 80's as The Fine Young Cannibals, some of you will remember they also contributed to the movie soundtrack Tin Men ("Ever Fallen in Love with Someone You Shouldn't've") and released some songs as a band called Two Men, a Drum Machine, and a Trumpet ("Tired of Getting Pushed Around").

The Fine Young Cannibals split up in 1992, although they did return to the studio for a short time in 1996.  In the 2000's, the band name was brought back to life as vocalist Roland Gift toured as Roland Gift and the Fine Young Cannibals.  At the time of this writing, the Fine Young Cannibals Discography was as follows:
