The Best of Tracey Ullman   Tracey Ullman Takes on the Hits   The Best of Tracey Ullman

Trace Ullman, aka Tracey Ullman, was one of those multi-talented people who could be found singing, dancing, acting, directing, and even authoring books.  In her early days, Ullman could not only be found performing on stage, but aslo appearing on British TV sketch comedy shows likes A Kick Up the Eighties and Three of a Kind.  Those of you in the USA will remember her show The Tracy Ullman Show which aired from 1987 to 1990 (this is the show that spawned The Simpsons).

It was in 1983 that Ullman met with success as a singer on the Stiff Records label. Ullman released two albums in the 80's:  You Broke My Heart in 17 Places (1983) and You Caught Me Out (1984).  Hit songs from these albums you may remember include "Breakaway", "They Don't Know", "Move Over Darling", "My Guy", and "Sunglasses".  Some of you will also remember that Ullman was an occasional guest VJ on MTV during this time.

Ullman dropped out of the music scene and focused on acting.  She moved to the USA and became a naturalized citizen.  She continued her activity as an actress well into the 2010's.  The Tracey Ullman Discography is as follows:

  • 1983: You Broke My Heart in 17 Places
  • 1984: You Caught Me Out
  • 1984: Forever The Best of Tracey Ullman

[starts] You've been around for such a long time now, Oh maybe I could leave you but I don't know how . . . And I don't listen to the guys who say, That you're bad for me and I should turn you away, 'Cause they don't know 'bout us, They've never heard of love [etc]
