Killer Klowns from Outer Space

Killer Klowns from Outer Space Movie Poster

Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988) was such a wacky sci-fi horror flick, that they couldn't even spell the word "clowns" right.  This movie has become a cult classic over the years, spurned in large part due to people’s fear of clowns (coulrophobia).  Over the years, this movie has gained mostly positive reviews, and it turned out to be a mega huge financial success.

The movie starts with small town teens, Deb and Mike, hanging out at make-out point, doing the same type of things that you use to do (yes, you).  Off in the distance, a comet falls to the ground.  Like any inquisitive really-needs-to-mind-her-own-business young lady, Deb wants to investigate, and what do they find?  A circus tent full of crazy, gonna-kill-em-all clowns, who want to turn the people of earth into cotton candy.

Deb and Mike report what they have found to the police, who do not believe them until they see the cotton candy clown caused cocoon carnage (very nice alliteration, eh?) at make out point caused by the clowns.  The clowns end up in the town, killing people by using their ray guns and other sundry methods of deceit.  In the end, Deb is captured by the clowns, but Mike and police man Dave save her, blowing up the clown ship as it lifts off into outer space.
