Pet Shop Boys Band

Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, the duo of the group Pet Shop Boys, met in an electronics shop in Chelsea, London back in 1981.  In the early 1980's, the two began collaborating and composing some of their later hits.  Initially, they called themselves West End, after London's West End, which they later changed to Pet Shop Boys after some friends of theirs that worked in a pet shop.

The single "West End Girls" was released in 1984 and became a hit.  It was later released on their first studio album, Please (1986), which also featured the hit songs "Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money)", "Love Comes Quickly", and "Suburbia".  Their 1987 follow-up, Actually (1987), was also a successful release, featuring the songs "It's a Sin", "What Have I Done to Deserve This", "Rent", and "Heart"  Introspective (1988) featured  "Always on My Mind", "Domino Dancing", "Left to My Own Devices", and "It's Alright".

The Pet Shop Boys continued to be very active throughout the 1990's, with most of the chart success being in Europe.  The 2000's were pretty successful for them as well, and they continued well into the 2010's.  At the time of this writing in 2013, the Pet Shop Boys were still very active.  The Pet Shop Boys Discography is as follows:
