Evel Knievel
Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel was an American daredevil that did a lot of crazy things in the late 60's through the early 1980's, ultimately suffering over 433 broken bones (the 1967 jump over Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas was the worst). His popularity peaked in the 1970's as he attempted amazing stunts like the Snake River Canyon leap in 1974 using a rocket ship called the Skycycle X-2. He died in in 2007 at the age of 69 soon after being baptized as a believer of Jesus Christ.
Throughout the 1970's, the Ideal Toy Company released action figures, stunt cycles, dolls, the Scramble Van, a dragster, the Skycycle, and many more. These toys found their way into the early 1980's, which is why we feature them on this site. Knievel even had his own Bally pinball machine that was a big hit in arcades across the USA.
