The Blues Brothers Movie Poster

"They'll never get caught.  They're on a mission from God."  The Blues Brothers movie was a musical comedy released in 1980, and it was a spin-off of a Saturday Night Live musical skit.  The movie Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi star as Elwood and Jake Blues.  The movie received mostly positive reviews when it was released, and ultimately was a very profitable movie.

In the movie, Jake has been paroled from prison.  He and his brother, Elwood, take on a "mission from God" to save the Catholic orphanage that they grew up in from foreclosure.  The orphanage needs $5k to pay the tax man, and although they have the cash on hand, the Sisters refuse to accept dirty money.  They insist the brothers straighten themselves up, and Jake Elwood decide to reunite their old blues band to raise the cash legitimately.

In the process of rounding up the old band members, the duo must elude the police, neo-nazis, a rival band, and some crazy broad trying to blow them up.  Finally, the band secures a couple of gigs, one of which attracts the attention of some record execs who offer them more than enough to save the orphanage.  In the end, they make it to the court house in the nick of time and pay off the debt just before they are all arrested and set to jail.
