Sea Hags was a sleaze metal band from San Francisco that formed in 1985. After working hard on the club circuit for a few years, the band finally landed a record deal with Chrysalis Records in 1987. With the help of Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Ian Astbury (The Cult), and Mike Clink (Guns ‘n’ Roses producer), they released their one and only albumin 1989 (self-titled). They toured with the Georgia Satellites the same year for their UK tour.

By early 1990, the band had burned out on drugs and poor band management. They were finished. Band members left for other projects. Although the band did resurface in the 2000’s for a time, the reunion was short lived. At the time of this writing, there was no further activity that we were aware of.
