Trixter Hair Metal Band

Although it wasn't until the late 1980's, early 1990's that most of us began to hear of the band Trixter, they actually began in New Jersey way back in 1983.  They were a big hit on the local touring circuit, and by 1987, they were opening for bands like Kix and Skid Row.  Although the band tried to ink out a record deal in 1988, things did not work out until 1990 as far as their first release went (self-titled album).  Some of you will remember the songs "Line of Fire", "One In A Million", "Surrender", and "Give it to me Good" from this album.  Some of you may remember the MTV video for "Give it to me Good", which stayed number one on MTV for five weeks.  The video for "One in a Million" was number one on MTV for three weeks.  Very impressive for a metal band at the tail end of metal itself.

In their heyday, Trixter toured with Don Dokken, Poison, Stryper, Scorpions, Warrant, and Firehouse.  Their follow up album, Hear!, fell far short of their early success in the USA (was popular in Japan), but this was mostly due to the fall of metal in general.  Their 1994 release is cover tunes and has gotten good reviews.  In later years, Trixter could be found on mega tours such as Rocklohoma and back in he studio.  At the time of this writing, the Trixter Discography was as follows:
