Tyketto is one of our favorite metal bands here at ilovethe80s.com. The band was formed by ex-Waysted vocalist Danny Vaughn in 1987 (New York City). Unfortunately, it would not be until 1990 that the band picked up a contract. Their debut release, Don't Come Easy, featured the song "Forever Young", which did fairly well. Their second release, Strength in Numbers, failed to impress Geffen Records, and subsequently was not released until 1994 under a different label.

In 1995, Danny Vaughn temporarily left the band to deal with a family matter, and he was replaced with Tall Stories vocalist Steve Augeri. Soon the band was finished, and members went on to work on other projects (including Danny Vaughn, who started a project under his last name). As the years rolled on, however, the original members would come back together to once again play and record as Tyketto. All of their albums, including Shine with Augeri, are all very good (in our opinion), but the first two are the best. At the time of this writing, the Tyketto Discography was as follows:
