Ugly Kid Joe Hair Metal Band

Ugly Kid Joe was one of those late comer metal bands that did not take themselves too seriously.  Even the band name "Ugly Kid Joe" was a direct affront to Pretty Boy Floyd (think anti-pasta).  Although the roots of California based Ugly Kid Joe date back to 1989, it wasn't really until 1992 that most of us began hearing about this band.

Ugly Kid Joe released the album As Ugly as They Wanna Be in 1991, and the single Everything About You hit the scene in 1992.  Many of you may remember that this song was used in the Wayne World movie soundtrack and charted in the top 10 in the USA.  In 1992, America's Least Wanted was released.  Many of you will remember the songs "Neighbor" and the cover of "Cats in the Cradle".  The band's heyday was certainly in the early 1990's, as they toured with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Bon Jovie, Van Halen, and Def Leppard.

By 1997, Ugly Kid Joe had broken up.  It wasn't until 2010 that the band came back together, and a new release hit shelves in 2012.  At the time of this writing, the Ugly Kid Joe Discography was as follows:
