Bad Company Band

Bad Company was a supergroup that formed in London back in 1973 by former Free members Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke, former Moot the Hoople members Mick Ralphs, and King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell.  The band took their name from the caption of a book showing a young lad staring up at an unsavory man standing by a lamppost.  Bad Company was a hugely successful 70's band and they continued producing well into the 1980's and beyond.  Many of their songs are considered classic rock staples, such as "Bad Company", "Can't Get Enough", "Good Lovin' Gone Bad", and "Feel Like Makin' Love".

Bad Company debuted in 1974 with a self-titled release and that album reached the top of the charts both in the USA and the UK (it became one of the best selling albums of the 1970's).  You might remember the songs "Can't Get Enough" and "Movin' On" from that release.  Their 1975 release, Straight Shooter, featured the hit songs "Good Lovin' Gone Bad" and "Feel Like Makin' Love".  Their last big hit of the 1970's was the song "Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy" from Desolation Angels (1977).  After the 1982 release of the album Rough Diamonds, which did not do as well as previous albums, the band split.

In 1985, some old members of Bad Company started a new project, and the label insisted they resurrected the Bad Company name, but given that their lead singer was now with the band The Firm, they decided to hire Brian Howe on vocals. By the late 80's, things were starting to click, and the album Dangerous Age featured the hit songs "No Smoke Without a Fire", "One Night", and "Holy Water".  By 1994, Howe was gone, but the band kept on going.  By 1998, original singer Paul Rodgers was back in the band, and at the time of this writing in late 2015, they were still very active, having just got off a tour with Lynyrd Skynrd.

At the time of this writing, the Bad Company Discography was as follows:
