Bang Tango was a glam metal band formed in 1987 in Los Angeles. They released their first, titled Psycho Café, album in 1989. Some of you may remember the song “Someone Like You” from this album, which met with minor success on MTV. Their second album, Dancin’ on Coals, was released in 1991, and their final release with original band members, Love After Death, was released in 1994. Some have argued that the band got better with each subsequent release.
Some of have said Bang Tango had the potential to go much further, but mistakes made by the label and management kept the band shuttered. The band continued working together well into the 1990’s, but by 1995, the original line up was done. Although Bang Tango continued producing and touring post 1995, the only original member was vocalist Joe Lesté. At the time of this writing, it was said that a documentary on the band was set to be released in 2015 called Attack of Life: The Bang Tango Movie.
