9 to 5
9 to 5 was an ABC spin-off TV comedy series from the 1980 movie starring Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin. The show ran from 1982 to 1983, and then again from 1986 to 1988 (these were also first run syndicated episodes).
For the both versions of the show, Dolly Parton's younger sister, Rachel Dennison, starred as Doralee Rhodes Brooks. Rita Moreno portrayed the role of Violet Newstead, played by Lily Tomlin in the movie, and Valerie Curtin played the role of Judy Bernly (played by Jane Fonda in the film). There were a number of actors who starred on the show, especially early on as they tried to find the right chemistry. If you'll remember, the ladies (secretaries) of the TV show, worked for a rather nasty boss. The show was essentially about office politics and the grind of working a day job.
