Once Bitten
"Mark Kendall just found that his one-night stand has been around for centuries". Once Bitten (1985) was one of the earliest movies starring Jim Carrey in a lead role. Carrey starred as Mark Kendall, and Lauren Hutton as The Countess. Even though the movie did turn a profit, it was not a hit with critics. However, post the 1980's, because of Carrey's popularity, the film has gained a cult following.
In this movie, the Countess is a vampire who has been collecting young men and women for 400 years, in an effort to make her life a bit more interesting. In order to maintain a youthful appearance, the Countess is required to drink the blood of three, young male virgins, at least once per year. Finding young male virgins is becoming increasingly difficult for the Countess, especially in the larger urban area of 80's America.
The Countess ends up meeting and seducing Mark Kendall (Carrey). After she bites him at her place, he passes out and she pretends that they had sex. Before long, Mark begins turning into a vampire himself. Mark's girlfriend notices him acting strangely, and just when she thinks she has won him back, the Countess captures her and lures Mark in for another bite. In the process of trying to stop by Countess, Mark's girlfriend agrees to have sex with him, which now makes him useless to the Countess as he needs one more bite of virgin blood. In the end, the Countess turns old, and the movie ends with her wondering if she can ever again regain her youthful appearance.
