Joshua was a Christian metal band that was formed in Los Angeles (1980) by guitarist Joshua Perahia. Initially, the band was known as Joshua, but in later years it was changed to Joshua Perahia. The band's first release, The Hand is Quicker than the Eye, was released on Enigma Records in 1983. This album featured the song "November is Going Away", which was their biggest hit (it actually charted at number 1 in Japan). They would go on to release two more albums in the 1980s: Surrender (1985) and Intense Defense (1988), which featured Rob Rock on vocals (Impellitteri).
Joshua was a much bigger hit in Japan, South America, and Europe than they were in the USA. It is worth noting that in 1995, the band changed their name to M Pire and released one album (Chapter One), only to switch back to the name Joshua Perahia again for their later releases. The band's 2012 release, Resurrection, spelled a return to the metal sound that made them famous. The Joshua Perahia Discography is as follows:
