Hericane Alice was a metal band from Minneapolis, Minnesota that formed back in 1984. Originally they spelled their name correctly as “Hurricane Alice”, but changed it later to “Hericane Alice” after the band Hurricane threatened legal action. The band self-produced their first album in 1986, which as self-titled as “Hurricane Alice”, but line-up issues with the singer caused the band to break up.
A few members of the original band started a new project called Danger City, and then decided to resort back to the original name of the band due to the band’s popularity in Minnesota. Soon after, Atlantic Records gave the band a contract and they released the album Tear the House Down in 1990. The band was not able to release any new material after Atlantic dropped them.
