Canada’s Neil Young started his solo career in the late 1960’s (having first been a part of the band Buffalo Springfield). All in all, Young had a career that spanned over 45 years, produced 35 albums, and netted him a ton of Juno Award nominations (including 7 wins). Even those folks that are not really fans of Neil Young’s distinctive guitar style and voice must recognize his eclectic contributions to rock music.

Some of his 1970’s hit songs that you may remember include “Cinnamon Girl”, “Only Love Can Break Your Heart”, “Heart of Gold”, and “Old Man”. Although he was not as successful in the 1980’s, he did produce the hit songs “Little Thing Called Love”, “Mr. Soul”, “Touch the Night”, “Long Walk Home”, “Ten Men Workin’, and the hit song “Rockin’ in the Free World” (released on his 1989 album, Freedom).

Young had a number of hit songs in the 1990’s, and was still active well into the 2010’s both in studio and on stage. We admit, Neil Young’s music had to grow on us. Now he is one of our favorites and we find ourselves spinning his Greatest Hits release on a regular basis. At the time of this writing, the Neil Young Discography was as follows:
