Diamond Rexx was a glam metal band from Chicago started in 1985 by a vocalist who went by the name of Nasti Habits (yes, this is true) and guitarist Scott St. Lust, also known as S.S. priest (who would later leave the band to join the D’Molls). Just a mere four months after their first live show, Diamond Rexx landed a record deal with Island Records and released their first album (Land of the Damned) in 1986.
Diamond Rexx broke up after their 1991 release, but reformed in the 2000’s to release a few more studio albums (with S.S. Priest back on guitar). Their new sound was an alternative metal that would likely not sit well with old school Diamond Rexx fans. At the time of this writing, their last known activity was in 2009 at a 20th anniversary reunion show. The Diamond Rexx Discography is as follows:
