Roxy Blue was a metal band formed in Memphis, TN in 1990. After guitarist Sid Fletcher and bassist Josh Weil met at the Guitar Institute of Technology, they decided to recruit Todd Poole on vocals and Scotty T. on drums and form the band. The band earned a reputation in the Memphis area for being a talented live act. Jani Lane, the lead singer for Warrant, introduced the band to Motley Crue’s manager, and a record deal was struck with Geffen.
Roxy Blue released their debut album in 1992, titled Want Some, which featured guest vocals by Survivor’s Jimi Jamison and Jani Lane. The band toured with Babylon A.D. and Wildside in support of the album, but it would not be enough. The band folded shortly thereafter. In recent years, some of the band’s older recordings were released on a new album. The Roxy Blue Discography is as follows:
