Spread Eagle Hair Metal Band

Spread Eagle was a glam metal band that formed in the late 80's in NYC.  Within a few months, the band had a contract with MCA/Universal, and they released their first album in 1990 (self-titled).  Given the nature of the metal scene in the 1990's, it was not a big surprise that MCA did not give the group much backing.  The time on the road in support of the album was hard on the band, and soon members started giving up.  BY the time the second album was released in 1993 (Open to the Public), session musicians were needed for the recording.  The second album did not do nearly as well as the first, and the band split by 1995. 

In 2006, vocalist Ray West dug the band back up and they played a few reunion shows.  They played a number of other shows in the early 2010's.  In hindsight, Spread Eagle's debut album is considered to be very good, and their second release is still good old-fashion metal.  The Spread Eagle Discography is as follows:
