Steeler Hair Metal Band

There were two metal bands in the 1980's that went by the name "Steeler", an American band featuring Ron Keel on vocals and Yngwie Malmsteen on guitar, and a German band with Axel Rudi Pell on guitar.  We will discuss both there.  The American Steeler released their first single, "Cold Day in Hell", in 1982.  By 1983, the band had moved to Los Angeles and picked up a young Yngwie Malmsteen on guitar, and their debut album, and the only album they ever released, hit shelves in 1983.  This album, in hindsight, was a breakthrough given that it demonstrated the early speed-chips of Malmsteen.  Soon after the band broke up as Yngwie went on to Alcatrazz and Ron Keel formed the band Keel.  The American Steeler Discography is as follows:

The German band was active between 1984 and 1988, having named themselves after the Judas Priest song by the same name.  They released their first album (self-titled) in 1984 and their final albumin 1988.  Their sound was very different than the American Steeler (they were actually like Judas Priest in many ways).  The German version of Steeler's Discography is as follows:
