Thunder was a British metal band formed by the vocalist (Danny Bowes) and guitarist (Luke Morley) after the breakup of the group Terraplane (Terraplane released two rock-based albums on Epic Records in the mid 1980's). Although the band technically formed in 1989, their first release as Thunder, called Back Street Symphony, was not released until 1990. This album featured the songs "Dirty Love", which charted at 10 in the USA, the title track, which charted at no. 1 in the UK, and the song "Love Walked In", which charted at no. 1 in the UK and 31 in the USA.
Although their first album did well, their follow-up release, Laughing on Judgement Day (1992), did much better. This album featured 4 top 40 hits in the UK: "A Better Man", "Low Life in High Places", "Everybody Wants Her", and "Like a Satellite". Over the years, Thunder remained very active (as you can see from their discography below). In 2015, Thunder released Wonder Days, their newest album at the time of this writing (and a good one at that). The band still had the magic given that this 2015 release charted at no. 9 in the UK.
