TKO, one of the earliest "glam rock" metal bands, formed in Seattle in the late 1970's. After landing a major record deal in 1978, they released the album Let It Roll in 1979. The band went on tour in support of the album with groups like Cheap Trick, the Kinks, AC/DC, and Van Halen. The band's follow-up release, In Your Face, was a much heavier album. TKO toured with bands like Foreigner, Ted Nugent, and Dio to support his album.
TKO released their final album, Below the Belt, in 1986. The album was not a success, although it clearly fit the mold for mid-80's heavy metal. The band split soon after and members went on to different projects. The TKO Discography is as follows:
