Ted Nugent Hair Metal Band

Theodore Anthony "Ted" Nugent has had an illustrious career, from the Amboy Dukes, to his solo career, to the Damn Yankees, and back to being a solo artist.  Many people are also probably aware that Ted Nugent is an avid hunter and conservative Republican activist.  Also, although you wouldn't think so from his stage antics, Ted Nugent is as straight as an arrow when it comes to drug and alcohol use.

Ted Nugent has been performing since 1958 and literally touring every year since 1967.  In the 60's, Nugent started out in a band called The Amboy Dukes, a Chicago club staple.  By 1973, Nugent had moved to Michigan, and signed with Discreet Records.  Soon the Amboy Dukes were known as Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes.  Some of you will remember the 1974 release,Call of the Wild, which featured the song "Great White Buffalo".

By 1975, Nugent had dumped the name "Amboy Dukes", and began his solo act under his given name.  Songs you may remember from Ted's mid to late 1970's career include "Stranglehold", "Catch Scratch Fever", "Dog Eat Dog", and "Hey Baby".  In the 80's, Nugent had several solo releases, including Penetrator in 1984, Little Miss Dangerous in 1986, and If You Can't Lick 'Em, Lick 'Em in 1988.  By 1989, he met with great success after founding the band Damn Yankees.  By 1995, Ted Nugent was back as a solo artist, and at the time of this writing, was still on tour.  He could also be found on various reality shows that revolved around this knowledge of the outdoors.  The Ted Nugent Discography is currently as follows:
